# Weekly bakery competitor research task brief

This worksheet helps you prepare one supervised Grok Bot run. It does not connect to Grok Bot or run automatically. It is a plain text Markdown file that you can open in any text editor, including Notepad.

## Before you start

- Bakery name: `[YOUR BAKERY]`
- Date of this review: `[YYYY-MM-DD]`
- Person who will review the report: `[NAME]`
- Three public competitor websites you selected:
  1. `[FULL URL]`
  2. `[FULL URL]`
  3. `[FULL URL]`
- Pages in scope: `[For example, public menu and ordering pages on those sites]`
- Excluded sources: `[For example, social accounts or delivery apps unless separately listed]`

Choose the businesses and URLs yourself. Do not ask the Bot to invent competitors or guess website addresses.

## Copyable task prompt

Replace every bracketed field before sending this to your Bot.

```text
Prepare my weekly competitor website research draft for [BAKERY NAME]. Date checked: [DATE]. Review only these public websites:
1) [COMPETITOR 1 URL]
2) [COMPETITOR 2 URL]
3) [COMPETITOR 3 URL]
Do not search for substitute businesses or claim you checked pages you did not open. For each site, report the exact page URL and date checked. Look for publicly visible product categories, displayed prices if present, seasonal or promotional wording, ordering options, and stated opening hours. Quote only short phrases needed to support a point. Mark each item Observed, Not found on pages checked, or Could not verify. Do not infer sales, popularity, quality, customer satisfaction, or intent. If a page is inaccessible, stop on that site and explain the limitation. End with three cautious ideas I could consider for my bakery, each tied to an observation and labeled as a suggestion, not a fact. Do not edit or publish anything. Return a draft for my review.
```

## Scope and safety

- The Bot may read only the public websites listed above for this task.
- Do not connect bakery accounts for this first public-web task.
- Do not ask the Bot to sign in, submit forms, contact a business, post content, change accounts, or spend money.
- If a login, CAPTCHA, paywall, blocked page, or unexpected permission request appears, stop and report it.
- Do not treat a natural-language reviewer rule as a guarantee. Review the Bot's actions and keep connected accounts limited.

## Report notes

| Competitor | Page URL checked | Date checked | What was visible | Missing or inaccessible |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | `[URL]` | `[DATE]` | `[Observed details]` | `[Gaps]` |
| 2 | `[URL]` | `[DATE]` | `[Observed details]` | `[Gaps]` |
| 3 | `[URL]` | `[DATE]` | `[Observed details]` | `[Gaps]` |

## Owner decision

- What did I verify myself? `[NOTES]`
- What did I correct or remove? `[NOTES]`
- Which idea, if any, will I explore? `[NOTES]`
- What should the Bot do differently next week? `[ONE SPECIFIC CORRECTION]`

“Not found on pages checked” means the information was not visible on the pages reviewed. It does not mean the competitor does not offer it elsewhere. “Could not verify” means the Bot could not establish the detail, for example because a page was inaccessible. Keep these states separate. This worksheet records a dated review of selected pages, not a complete picture of another business.
